Wiki spam, like all other types of spam is a menace.
I've written a wiki, and just about 10 days after it went live we got our first case of spam on the wiki.
The first case - a British spammer called Bob Harris defaced and then reverted the front page.
The second case - a Chinese spammer, searching Google for "wiki sandbox" found my site and defaced it.
